Stalled

King’s head theatre - stalled

The new musical ‘Stalled’ was a brave production with a six week life span with a set, designed by Emily Bestow, which was a fabulous aspect of this production on such a small budget.

Toilets - a bougee ladies room, with toilets and cubicles, vanity sink area, and a chaise to sit and dance on. The scenic was luxurious in it’s look and presentation which complimented the upmarket vibe.

The King's Head Theatre boasts a rich and unique history, having been London's longest-running pub theatre for 53 years until its recent move in January 2024. Originally nestled in the backroom of the King's Head Pub, this intimate space became a renowned breeding ground for talent, launching the careers of stars like Hugh Grant, Maureen Lipman, and Alan Rickman, and premiering works by acclaimed writers such as Tom Stoppard and Victoria Wood. Its founder, Dan Crawford, fostered an innovative spirit that saw many of its productions transfer to the West End and even Broadway.

Now in a purpose-built venue just behind its original pub home, the King's Head Theatre continues its legacy of bold and eclectic programming. It remains a vital champion of LGBTQ+ work, providing an essential platform for diverse voices and stories. Furthermore, it's known for making opera accessible in an intimate setting, even earning an Olivier Award for Best New Opera Performance. From new writing and critical revivals to musicals, cabaret, and comedy, the theatre consistently delivers high-quality, impactful performances, solidifying its place as a pivotal force in London's fringe theatre scene.

We are delighted to be working with this Theatre.
